Multiple ways to bet on every esports match
Pick the team you think will win the overall match. The simplest bet type around, and perfect for bettors of all experience levels — choose the team you believe in and let the results do the talking.
The weaker team is given a head start. If Team A is given a +1.5 Map handicap, they only need to win at least one map for your bet to pay out – even if they lose the overall match.
Predict whether a match will last more or fewer maps than the set total. This bet is independent of the winner — it's purely about how far the series goes.
Place bets while the match is in progress. Odds shift in real time based on the current score, objectives taken and team momentum. The best value often appears in the middle of a closely contested game.

Real wins from Malaysian players at sambal88
If you grew up playing DotA at cybercafes in the early 2000s, or still remember Counter-Strike 1.6 in the mamak-area cybercafe around the corner – you understand just how deeply gaming culture has taken root in Malaysia. Now a new generation has taken that culture to a whole new level: the Mobile Legends Professional League Malaysia, VCT Challengers, and national representation at SEA Games Esports. Esports is no longer a niche hobby – it has become a serious industry with audiences, passionate fans, and now, structured betting.
Sambal88 is a platform that understands this community from the inside. We know the difference between Todak and RSG MY goes beyond just names – each team has its own history, playstyle and star players that shape how they perform on any given day. We know that an MPL MY match on a Saturday night is more than just numbers on a screen – it's an experience followed live by thousands of Malaysian fans, whether in person or through the broadcast.
One thing that sets esports betting apart from traditional sports like football or badminton is how fast a match can swing. In Mobile Legends, a single Lord steal or a successful backdoor can flip an entire game in under 30 seconds. That makes in-play betting on sambal88 far more dynamic — odds can shift dramatically in the blink of an eye.
For bettors who follow MPL Malaysia closely, this is a real edge. If you spot something the market hasn't priced in — say, you know Todak's carry is off-form based on recent stats, or you can see that the opposing team's draft strategy directly counters Geek Fam's playstyle — that insight can translate into strong betting value on sambal88.
New bettors often get confused by esports match formats. In MPL Malaysia, group stage matches are typically played in a Best of 3 (BO3) format – meaning the first team to win two games takes the match. Grand finals use Best of 5 (BO5). Understanding these formats matters because they directly affect how you bet on map handicaps and game over/unders.
For VALORANT, each map is played to 13 rounds with the possibility of overtime. On map total rounds markets, you can bet on whether a map ends quickly – with the stronger team dominating – or goes the distance into overtime. Sambal88 offers these markets for VCT matches, giving bettors who understand the game's finer details more ways to get involved.
Sambal88 offers a 1.5% rebate on every esports bet placed — higher than any other betting category — as a recognition of Malaysia's active gaming community. That means for every RM100 you wager on an MPL Malaysia, VCT APAC, or The International match, RM1.50 is returned to your account the following day, win or lose. For bettors who regularly follow and wager on MPL matches — which run almost every week — that rebate can add up to a meaningful amount by the end of each month.
Depositing for esports betting on Sambal88 is simple – use Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, DuitNow, Boost, ShopeePay, or FPX via Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. The minimum is just RM10, so you can start with a few small bets on MPL Malaysia matches you already follow while getting a better feel for reading the markets. Sambal88 is fully optimised for mobile, letting you bet and watch matches at the same time from your smartphone – a perfect fit for Malaysia's esports community, where most fans play and stream on their mobile devices.
Esports betting on Sambal88 should stay as a fun add-on to your experience watching esports – not a source of financial stress. We encourage all players to set daily bet limits and loss limits from their account settings. Avoid betting purely on emotion when your favourite team loses – step away, review the situation, and come back with a clearer head. Sambal88 will always be here, so there's no need to rush.
